Hearts is a classic 4-player trick-taking game where the goal is to score as FEW points as possible. Every Heart card taken adds 1 point, while the Queen of Spades adds a massive 13 penalty points!

Core Mechanics

  • Card Passing: Before play begins, pass 3 cards to an opponent (Left, Right, Across, or No Pass).
  • Trick Rules: You must follow the led suit. You cannot play a Heart or the Queen of Spades on the first trick.
  • Shooting the Moon: If a single player collects ALL 13 Hearts AND the Queen of Spades in one round, they score 0 while ALL opponents get 26 penalty points!

    • Winning Tips

  • Short-Suit Early: Pass away cards of your shortest suit so you can dump penalty cards when that suit is led.
  • Beware the Queen of Spades: Get rid of high Spades (Ace or King) if you don't hold the Queen.
