Mathematically, over 99.99% of all standard FreeCell deals are solvable. Unlike Klondike, nearly every game can be won with correct tactical planning, making it one of the most strategic card games in the world.
The four free cells in the top-left corner act as temporary holding areas for exactly one card each. You can move any card to an open cell to uncover cards beneath it, and move it back to the tableau or foundations at any time.
A supermove allows you to move an entire sequence of ordered cards at once. The game automatically calculates the maximum sequence you can move based on your available free cells and empty tableau columns: (1 + Free Cells) × 2^(Empty Columns).
Tableau cascades build downward in descending order with alternating colors (e.g., Black 8 on Red 9). Any single card or valid movable sequence can be placed into an empty cascade column.
